Effective Date: August 15, 2024

BrandCycle provides this privacy policy for the BrandCycle browser extension (“Extension”), which helps you generate affiliate links directly from the URLs you visit.

As further explained below, BrandCycle does not sell personal information collected through the Extension. Other BrandCycle services, such as our website and app, have different information practices that are not covered by this privacy policy.

How Does the Extension Collect and Use Information?

Our Extension collects minimal information to provide a seamless experience for our users and to help our partners maximize their affiliate earnings.

When you use your browser with our Extension installed, the Extension collects the following information:

  • URLs You Visit: The Extension collects the URLs of the pages you visit to generate affiliate links. This is the primary function of the Extension.
  • Future Features: With your explicit permission, we may also collect data from the pages you visit to determine if they qualify for additional commissions by cross-referencing data with our network partners or to scan entire pages of links to check if any products qualify for affiliate programs.

We also collect technical information such as your browser version, device type, IP address, and the dates and times that you use our Extension.

We use the information collected solely to generate affiliate links, improve the Extension’s performance, and, in the future, potentially provide additional value by identifying commission opportunities. We do not use this information for advertising purposes outside of these functionalities.

If you want BrandCycle to stop collecting and using information from the Extension, you can uninstall the Extension at any time. Uninstalling the Extension will not affect your usage of other BrandCycle services.

How Does the Extension Share Information?

We do not sell personal information collected through the Extension. However, we may share the information we collect in the following limited ways:

  • Service Providers: We may share information with our service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as data processing or customer service functions.
  • Legal Requirements: We may share information pursuant to a subpoena, court order, governmental inquiry, or other legal processes, or as otherwise required by law.
  • Business Transfers: We may share information in connection with an actual or potential merger, sale, acquisition, assignment, or transfer of all or part of our business.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with your consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time of data collection or sharing.
  • Deidentified Information: We may share deidentified and aggregated information without limitation. This information is maintained in deidentified form and is not used to reidentify any individual.

How Does the Extension Store Information?

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to store the information we collect securely.

What About Cookies?

The Extension does not use cookies. Instead, it uses local storage or other methods to store session data or information about your use of the Extension over time.

What About Third-Party Features?

Our Extension may allow you to access third-party features such as websites, apps, or interactive elements. When you interact with these features, you are providing information directly to third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to the information they collect. We cannot control the privacy practices of third parties and are not responsible for their policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third party before interacting with them via our Extension.
